La Fortuna, Costa Rica: Arenal Volcano, Soothing Hot Springs, and Exotic Birds
Until very recently, Arenal was Costa Rica’s most active volcano. It’s dormant now, but the surrounding region is no less stunning, with hiking trails, fertile rainforests, whitewater rapids for kayaking, and a lake that’s perfect for watersports.
Giraffes live primarily in savanna areas in the sub-Saharan region of Africa. Their extreme height allows them to eat leaves and shoots located much higher than other animals can reach. In particular, they seek out acacia trees. Their long tongues are helpful in eating because they help pull leaves from the trees. Spending most of the day eating, a full-grown giraffe consumes over 45 kg (100 lb.) of leaves and twigs a day.
Fambioso Areio comparmente
A more rugged trek awaits at Sendero Coladas, or Lava Flow Trail, which leads to a field of jagged volcanic rock that formed after the eruption decades ago.
On the clinical rotation, residents perform daily clinical rounds of the animal facility under the guidance and supervision of the clinical veterinarians. Clinical cases are assigned by the clinical veterinarians. The clinical rotation is managed to provide sufficient time on rodents, large animals, and non-human primates to become proficient with all laboratory animal species. Under the guidance of the clinical veterinarians, the resident is responsible for individual cases and your primary objectives are to learn to prevent, control, diagnose and treat diseases of laboratory animals and deliver veterinary services to support research. Additionally, the resident consults with investigators on protocol development and selection of animal models
